We believe that there is one true and uncreated God. He is perfectly good, holy, just, loving, and truthful. He exists and reveals Himself in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, Matthew 3:16-17, Deuteronomy 6:4, 2 Corinthians 13:14)
We believe that God created mankind in His own image for the purpose of relationship with Him. Man’s choice to disobey God caused all of us to fall from a place of God-intended life, righteousness and holiness into a state of sin and spiritual death. This state of sin and death remains the spiritual reality of all mankind, apart from redemption unto renewed life: salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. (Genesis 1:26-28, Ephesians 2:1-10)
We believe that God desires all mankind to be saved. God’s salvation is offered freely through the atoning work of Jesus Christ. This salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. No work, ritual, or other activity is required or accepted in order to enter into His gift of salvation. (1 Timothy 2:4, John 6:29, Romans 3:21-26, Galatians 5:1)
We believe in the Holy Spirit, His present ministry, His indwelling, His empowering, His impartation of gifts for today, and His transforming power in the lives of all believers, which is evidenced foremost by the development of Christ-like character. (John 14:16-17, Acts 1:6-8, Ephesians 1:13-14, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, Romans 12:4-8)
We believe that the Bible is without error in its original manuscript, and remains the only inspired, infallible, living, and eternally reliable Word of God. It is the final authority for us with regard to what is true and how we should live. (2 Tim 3:16, John 10:35)
We participate in The Lord’s Supper and Believer’s Baptism in celebratory obedience and as a testimony of our faith. (Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 2:38, Luke 22:14-20, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
We believe that an eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to God’s offer of salvation through Jesus Christ. (John 3:16, John 14:1-3, Romans 6:23, Matthew 25:46, Revelation 21:8, Revelation 7:9-10)
We believe that Jesus will return physically to earth, as He has promised, to establish His permanent reign at a date undisclosed by scripture. (Matthew 26:64, Mark 8:38, Hebrews 9:28, Revelation 1:7)
We believe that the local church is the hope of the world, and the primary instrument through which God is fulfilling His purposes in the earth. We believe that God designed the church to be led and equipped by teams that include apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. We believe that women and men are equally called and gifted to serve, lead, and do all the works of the Kingdom. Therefore, we believe in and celebrate the priesthood of all believers. (Ephesians 3:8-13, Ephesians 4:11-13, Isaiah 61:6, Revelation 5:10, Galatians 3:28)
